Bangalore Fort –
This is one of the most striking places to visit there and the interiors are worth the visit. There is a grand ballroom , a splendid courtyard covered by blue porcelain tiles with strong walls that are decorated by artistic Greek paintings. The staircases while you’re climbing are really going to mesmerize you with its elegance. The interior of the forts are surrounded by vintage furniture , picturesque wood carvings and many more elements.

Cubbon Park –
Built by Richard Sankey , this park is an expanse of 300 acres of nature’s true beauty. It is open from mornings to evenings and is free for entry. There are many intricately carved statues of personalities like Queen Victoria , Sir Mark Cubbon and many others. It’s effect is amplified when you go visit in the evenings as there are colorful lights around.
Vidhana Soudha –
A major landmark in Bangalore which is right near Cubbon Park. Depicting Dravidian architecture , this is a major legislative chamber in the Government of Bangalore and has many other departments. It is free of cost and is surrounded by a lush garden.
Commercial Street –
For all the shopaholics this is the place to assemble. Right from a small accessory to anything you need , they have got you all covered. There are small retail outlets and expensive branded ones. With a constant frenzy around the market , do try some authentic street food. The prices are all negotiable around here.
Nandi Hills –
Located about 60 km from the main city of Bangalore , this hill station is the most favored place in Bangalore. The pleasant weather , beautiful scenic view where it almost feels like you’re amidst clouds will amaze you. You can take a ride via car and see all this through the windows, otherwise you can even trek to the top with a group of your friends. There is some great vegetation around and some unexplored temples to visit. You can even do paragliding around here and to visit this place , you must take an entry ticket which costs around INR 70 that can be booked through the online website.
ISKCON Temple –
Though ISKCON temples are scattered across the globe , the one in Bengaluru is the biggest one with the finest architecture. It organizes many activities , poojas and events for Lord Krishna and must be attended to while you visit. The food is prepared with utmost dedication and melts in your mouth. It has 6 shrines , a 9 meter gold plated Kalash Shikara and a 17 meter golden flag post.
Timings – It opens from 4:00 am to 5:00 am , 7:15 am to 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens –
Lal Bagh gardens are the most renowned botanical gardens among horticulturists throughout the nation. It conducts two shows annually , i.e on Independence Day and Republic Day. It houses some of the most precious plants which are both rare and unusual. It is an added bonus to the bird watching enthusiasts here as you can see Pond Heron , Myna Crows , Purple Moorhen and Common Egret.
The ticket price is INR 20 for adults and INR 15 for kids. It is open pretty much all the time and takes around 1.5 hours to see everything there is.
Ulsoor Lake –
Located at the heart of Bangalore near MG Road, this 173 acre lake is the best way to spend some time on your weekends or when you come visit this place. It is open on all days except Wednesdays and you can enjoy your time roaming around anywhere between 5 in the morning to 7 in the night. There is also a boating facility which costs between 35-50 rupees and gives a good view of the surroundings.
